ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING

Seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.

Job Overview:

Support Project Managers in completing complex engineering projects across multiple disciplines, working closely to provide engineering solutions in all aspects involving both residential and commercial land and site development projects, grading projects, roadways, pedestrian systems, water and sanitary sewer systems, and storm water management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with small to mid-size projects and budgets

  • Write and prepare technical engineering reports, plans and specifications for projects

  • Consult with Project Managers to plan and develop strategies for their civil engineering design and support needs

  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and tests results to plan and design projects

  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials

  • Possibly assist with construction inspection of project sites to monitor progress and ensure design specifications are met

  • Help provide engineering design for site-civil infrastructure elements

  • Assist in developing plans & specifications    

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • EIT certificate preferred

  • Strong technical skills and experience using Autodesk Civil 3D required; experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and perform well under deadlines

  • Authorization to work in SD-US without sponsorship

CIVIL ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER

Seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager with 7+ years of experience in Land Development and Municipal Engineering.

Job Overview:

Complete complex engineering projects across multiple disciplines, working closely with land development leaders to provide engineering solutions in all aspects involving both residential and commercial land and site development projects, grading projects, roadways, pedestrian systems, water and sanitary sewer systems, and storm water management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage small to mid-size projects, client and contractor agreements and budgets

  • Write and prepare technical engineering reports, plans and specifications for projects

  • Consult with clients to plan and develop strategies for their civil engineering design and support needs

  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects

  • Evaluate designs to determine project feasibility, estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, and labor requirements

  • Occasionally assist with construction inspection of project sites to monitor progress and ensure design specifications are met

  • Engineering design for site-civil infrastructure elements

  • Mentor less experienced engineers as needed

  • Use of independent judgment is expected

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • South Dakota PE registration preferred or ability to attain, EIT certificate required

  • Strong technical skills and 7+ years’ experience using Autodesk Civil 3D required, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and perform well under deadlines

  • Authorization to work in SD-US without sponsorship
